How fit do I need to be for a trail running trip?

It depends on the trip — every expedition lists its difficulty on the trip page. As a rule, trail running trips with Loaf are difficult on purpose. Expect a short call before you commit so we can tell you honestly whether it's right for you.

Are trail running trips guided by a real athlete?

Yes. Every Loaf expedition is led by the athlete whose name is on it — in person, on the route, for the difficult parts. Not a hired guide, and not a guest appearance.

Do I need to apply, or can I just book?

You apply. The group is picked because the wrong person on a difficult trip ruins it for everyone. There's a short call after your application before you commit.
