I had the most amazing time — something that couldn't be replicated. So special being in the mountains in isolation. I felt cared for and looked after, with lots of laughter. A week felt like a month, down to its seamless organisation and jam-packed schedule of activities. Fay Manners and Hector were incredible to be around, leading the trip with such enthusiasm and energy. I'd do it all over again.

A mindful ski experience. You can get a ski trip anywhere, but not with this kind of mindset. So much attention to detail, such careful preparation, such a cohesive and inclusive environment created by the guides. Fay made sure everyone got the best of the trip, setting schedules that let us experience far more than the itinerary promised, choosing the optimal lines, openly sharing knowledge and expertise at every step. Sleeping in yurts in the middle of nowhere, long days without phone reception, surrounded by pristine nature and like-minded people. It's a reset for the mind and body — an experience for the soul.

Everything about this trip was insane. It wasn't only about meeting Fay Manners — it was about meeting people who share the same passion from many different places. Hector did an amazing job choosing us, not just on physical ability but on personality. I shared an amazing experience with even more amazing people.

I had so much fun working on my skiing technique with an amazing group of people. We already have plans to meet up throughout the year.

Loved the trip. Everything was brilliantly done, and I'd definitely come again.

The remoteness and wildness of the destination was the main draw for me, and the trip far exceeded my expectations. The destination and organisation created a genuine sense of discovery. These athlete-led expeditions offer a unique perspective — learning what drives Fay Manners challenged us all to rethink our own limits. Loaf's commitment to vetting and openness truly sets them apart. I was surrounded by exceptional people and left the trip with friends for life.

Themes that come up again and again

Across the reviews, the same few things drive the top scores:

The people

Every reviewer mentioned the group. Loaf's vetting — choosing participants on personality as much as ability — came up repeatedly, and several left with plans to meet up again.

The organisation

"Seamless," "brilliantly done," "attention to detail." A week that felt like a month because nothing was left to chance.

The athlete

Leadership on the mountain — generosity with knowledge, and a drive to get everyone the best possible experience.

The place

Remote, wild, often phone-free. Pristine mountains and a genuine sense of reset.
