# **(1) Macedonia With A Champion**
Join Iris Pessey, 5x French Champion, for a private guided ski touring expedition.
This February she is taking 12 skiers into the Shar Mountains of North Macedonia. A range most skiers have never heard of, and almost no one ever tours. She set the women's record for climbing Mont Blanc from Chamonix, 5 hours and 2 minutes.
Days are spent climbing on skins and skiing off-piste: Korab, the highest mountain in the country, plus Bistra, Jablanica and Galichica. 2 of the days are snowcat-assisted.
Expect 700 to 2,200 m of climbing a day, so you need to be fit and comfortable off-piste.
Ohrid and proper Macedonian mountain food are part of it. All meals, guiding, safety equipment and transfers from Skopje are included.
