What it asks, day by day.
Day one starts simple. You will land at QAIA, the airport near Amman. From there, we transfer to Madaba, an old town full of mosaics and quiet streets. No riding yet. Just settle in, meet the team, and rest. Tomorrow we ride. Tonight, the desert waits beyond the window, still and calm.
Day two, we leave Madaba and ride. First a transfer to Tafilah. Then we roll past Sela, across wide, dramatic valleys. The land drops and climbs around you. We push on toward Dana Nature Reserve, the second largest in Jordan. It is a long, hard start. Tonight you rest where the cliffs fall away into deep, quiet space.
Day three starts in Dana. You'll ride the King's Highway, then climb to Shobak Castle. We'll roll on with the Sharah mountains in view. The road leads to Little Petra. There you'll spend the night with Bedouin hosts. It's a hard day in the saddle. Tea, stars, and quiet hills close it out.
Today we swap bikes for boots. We walk into Petra through the quiet back route. You will reach the Monastery, carved high in the rock. Then we drop down through the old city, past tombs and stone, all the way to Wadi Musa. It is a hard hike. Your legs will know it. Petra rewards every step.
Today we leave Petra behind. We ride rolling hills and long off road descents toward Wadi Rum. Your legs will feel the work. The land opens wide and wild around you. We end the day at Humeima, deep in the wilderness. You will sleep at a desert camp, with nothing but the stars above your head.
Day six starts in Humeima. We ride desert tracks into Wadi Rum. The sand is wide and the rocks stand tall. It is hard work, but the views pay you back. Once we reach camp, we swap bikes for a Jeep. We explore the canyons and red sand together. The desert glows as the day fades.
Day 8 starts at Mount Nebo, where Moses once looked out. Then we ride quiet desert roads down to the Dead Sea. It is a long drop, so let the bike roll. At the bottom, you'll float on water that holds you up. Then you'll rest. The salt on your skin and the slow sunset.

Group trips aren't races. Sean Conway sets a standard you need to meet, not a pace you need to beat. If you can meet the standard, you belong. The call before you commit is where we settle it.
What if I'm not fit enough yet?
Apply anyway and tell us where you're at. Trips are scheduled months ahead, and after you join the team you get a training plan and a kit list. Many participants arrive a different athlete than they applied as.
